I am homed in Johor Bahru. Pretty unbearable as I still miss the days in my hometown, Tapah (in the state of Perak). The momentum of life in there was really great. Slower pace than the life in the City, which I spend most of the time in there! However, theres an end to everything. So, what I can do now is to face life and move forward. Gonna Aza Aza once again, looking forward to the coming years Chinese New Year. Alrytes, its time to update about my experience during this festive season.
Went back to Tapah on the 05 February 2008. Its a long journey. The first day there was somewhat boring as theres nobody (except those relatives who lives there). Was getting myself into the atmosphere and you know, “checking into” rooms etc. Next day, was the day for reunion dinner. Was helping out and gambling the whole day. Three Big Tables for the dinner, so crowded and lively. I love this kind of experience and feelings as you know, being alone most of the time in Singapore…its special. Great food and its simply delicious.
Its the First Day of the Lunar New Year. Its exciting and we started to take pictures…woohoho. Will update it here as we go along. Woke up early in the morning, get myself clean and changed, went down to my Uncle’s house and Gong Xi my Grandma, Dad, Mum, Aunties and Uncles. And here comes Michelle (From PJ), below are the pictures taken….lets explore:
Michelle Just Reached Tapah. Beside her was me and my sister.

After which, my grandma came and joined in the fun…she loves to take pictures too…lolx. Thats my siblings, grandma and my cousins.

And this is the one for 2008. Every year, I will take one with her. She was really very happy. HAHA.

My mum…took a long time to get ready…so heres she. First time seeing her wearing Qi Pao…haha, looks nice indeed.

My siblings with my mum.

Here comes Dad…he kept praising himself handsome..LOL. HAHA. But then this is so nice…

Heres the Wong’s Family photo…so RED!

With my grandma. There were two shots, I love this so much just because of my mother’s mouth!!! HAHA…So evil.
After which, went to another uncle’s house and started collecting Ang Baos. Woohoo…its good to remain single anyways. Gamble again…and was chatting and chatting. The atmosphere was so noisy, but as you know, its the First Day, its suppose to be noisy yeah… Oh ya, I have to emphasize that the weather was damn damn damn hot and humid. Theres no wind and the trees were so so so still. Bathing was a must there….went back to Uncles House to bath and took some more pictures. There were a handful of funny and disgusting pictures, but a no no to put here…haha.

My sis and I. With the beautiful orchid.

Nice angle yeah???

My Grandma’s Mini Farm…haha.
After dinner shortly, we went to this playground, somewhat super lousy, but its my childhood place….took a couple of shots, but I just upload this as you see, my mouth…so sexy. LOL.

Then, here comes the second day of the CNY, my uncle brought us to Ipoh for shopping. By the way, its mostly closed in there as its just the second day of CNY. So, somewhat dampend my mood and expectation. Haha. But then, we went to this Temple built on the side of the mountain. Really crowded in there and the weather was undesirable.

This is the entrance of the Temple.

With my Brother and the White Horse…

With the gigantic Guan Ying Ma…its very tall…

On the Longetivity Bridge. Me Bro and my cousin Michael.
After saying good bye to the temple, we went to the nearby shop, which sells Pomela (donno what we call in English) CHINESE as ??. I tell you, this is a live example of what we call PERFECT COMPETITION in Economics. I wonder how the sell and do business….the whole row of the shop houses all sells green balls…LOL. Somehow, they use the “pretty girls” there to do the selling…

After which, we went to this Kellie’s Castle. The breif story about it was long time ago, theres an English Prince or King, I donno, built the castle here. Half way through, he passed away and the building was left abandoned. After which, it was converted to a government property for tourism. Oh yeah…its believed to be haunted, somewhat, but its really errie in there.

This picture…do observe the tree behind us…what can you see?

For lunch….so tired and hungry…

The third day..Iris came back. And we took this picture once again in year 2008. And lets see who changed the most (in terms of appearance). And the third day was the most excited one. We went to this privately owned Orchard on the way to Cameron Highlands, we had a great time in there. Luckily, theres one relative who knows the people in there, we get the priviledge to go in. Anyways, we started our “Theif in Action”..once we get in…the fruits in theres was loads. Expecially the longans…so sweet and nice…really…and the golden fruit, durians, bananas etc. My aunts were like so happy when they pluck those fruits…we got a great harvest……nice nice…

After which, we went to this Seven Miles. So cool, its a river with huge stones…the water is cold, but when you try to seep your feet into the sand, its hot…so nice, what a pity that we did not bring extra clothes, however, we will do it the next time.

Alrytes…so, everything ended after chatting at night…slept at around 2.30 am. The time when I open up my eyes, its the day to leave for Johor Bahru. Disappointing indeed, but we must move forward. Nevertheless, we must hope for a better next year. After breakfast at Tong Yun, I talked with my Grandma and held her hands, the moment, I felt warmth care and family love. I love them loads…they are my family members…we should always treasure each others. Waving good bye and see them again very soon:)
So, its time for school soon. Will be going to school only on Friday. Still in the mood of HOLS. But then, have to face reality. Prelims around the corner, should get myself pretty ready soon, for another round of Aza Aza. Jia you everyone.
A HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE, once again.:)
