First week of school = freaking hectic! It was not an easy week though, but we had a great time together in school, having fun! We started the week by the International Student Reception, whereby I am once again on the stage presenting IMMIX to the new batch of SIM students. It was a great experience with Keziah and Aung managed to take a photos of us!
So, after which, its time to mend the booth and so on. Ploy, Jet, Aung, Keziah, Charlie and Audrey were at the booth in the first morning. Rushing the design etc, and managed to get make it so artisitcally done. Thanks to Jet and Ploy and all for the effort! =)
Then actually I ended up playing with Felix’s camera and taking photos here and there! Thinking that I should really get myself one camera, the professional DSLRs. HAHA! Had a great time. This is just the first day!!! And here comes the second day! It was Wednesday by then. Day 2 was a relatively normal day whereby we all went for classes and mend the booth at the atrium. Managed to meet up with Gracebaby, Gillian, Delphi and Felix for a short lunch before I headed for my boring Financial Intermediation lecture! Its totally boring! Was like all alone and gonna sleep! After which, meet up with Gillian and Delphi and talked about DCS Team! HAHA! This term is definitely good! Because its for that special someone of G. HAHA! So, we went to the foodcourt and popular! Both places, we made funny things, and talk funny stuffs! LOL!
And so here comes Thursday, DAY 3! We are in full team today! Met up with Grace, Gillian, Delphi and Felix for lunch in Megabites! And had a great time catching up again, plus some photo taking! (actually after which we went mad taking photos). BUT, it was the best day out of the week! =) Hopefully there are more chances coming up!
After having a good lunch, we headed to the atrium because Ploy was calling me to the booth. Ended up, snapping and snapping tonnes of photos at the atrium. And enjoying the crowd, performances, the lively atmosphere just makes people so high! =)
And we managed get to see SIM GOT TALENT! and one of the participants, Florence from DWK, a dance group got the highest count. And shes definitely gorgeous and sweet! =)
Felt happy for them in their winning of the SIM GOT TALENT Competition! Congratulations all! =) And before that, Gillian, Grace and I were cam whoring at a corner in the school. Actually its part of DCS Team Protocol. HAHA! Have to follow. I also donno why I got loads of expressions! HAHA!
And its a great experience. Definitely amazing, totally! HAHA! And I got this “Totally” words coming out of my mind after playing with Grace! HAHA! LOL! Then managed to get to see the Photos from photography club. Actually they are doing a charity for the unfortunates. So its a good place to be in and to give in support for others! =) Oh ya, not to forget about the JUMP SHOTS! ITS REALLY BRAVE OF US! Cos infront of so many people at the atrium, we managed to take it, superb!!! HAHA!
And, so thats about the day 3. Day 4 was a hectic long day in school, having classes from 12 to 6.30 and 6.30 to 9.30pm got workshop! But managed to survive from it! =) weehee! Sorry for my rushed entries.
And seriously, I AM DEFINITELY NOT READY FOR SCHOOL YET! I needa rest!
Alright, I know this entry is long expired! I am here to make sure the I can keep up with the time and try to blog down what I did over the two weeks or so. So, let me start it by the few days before the start of my hectic school term! The day after our dearest Ting Ting’s Birthday, I was in town once again! Felix, Lily, Gillian and I met up at Orchard ION! Initially, I didnt know Gillian was joining us, but its really super great to see her here! HAHA! We had a great half day at Orchard ION because WE SHOPPED, WE ATE, and WE PHOTOSHOOTED! LOL! It was another wonderful experience for us! Lovin it!
Okay, we had about over hundreds of photos taken in the shopping mall alone! I know we are mad but really, when you start to take photos, it will never stop and it will accumulate like nobody’s business! So let the pictures do the talking first.
We had our lunch at Xin Wang HK Cafe! Its nice! My second time there for the ION Orchard’s branch.
We definitely had a great food and great time there. With Lily, then Gillian, lastly, Felix. =) And after which, went buying stuffs and so on, headed to their gents. Not the one that I went before with Audrey, this one is kinda smaller. HAHA! And Felix made that soap dispenser sounded like so LOL, sexual??? HAHA! I remember still got a video taken. and here is a view of what we did in the gents!
After which, we went to the top top top of ION. And we found a perfect place for us to take photos! Because of the ceiling design, it makes it perfect! We also managed to do some jumping shots at the mall! Whereby people are looking up at us, wondering what we were actually doing. Even the police came! But no worries. We got everything done! heres a preview of what we have taken!
And here comes the finale! The photo effect (although not perfect as its the first try), I simply love it! Hopefully next time we can do it better! =)
And so, its the day before the start of the school term. Dated at 19 September 2009, Saturday! Preparing to start school. and now school has started, really miss holidays!, anyways.
Okay, yesterday I just came into Singapore. Haha! Because I got a screen test in school before heading down to Ting Ting’s 21st Big Day.
The screen test was a fast one. Had a great time mingling with the participants and school staffs. Realised theres much to do when school reopens. International Student Night is coming and Ploy is the President for the event! Ploy, you will do well! =) Not to worry yeah. Luckily the weather was pretty good, if not I will be like sweating like nobody’s business. At around 4.45 pm, I quickly left school for Pasir Ris! Everything went very smoothly. Managed to meet Jie Xin, Long Cheng, Yanling, Fenglin and Eileen at the Interchange.
Below are some pictures taken with Ploy and Jet:
Ploy said she likes this so much, cos she looks so pretty! HAHAHA! Actually quite true leh! =))
So here comes the Jet-to! LOL! He came to school by a Crazy Taxi…We knew that he is recovering from a heart attack! HAHA!
And so after which, I left school and headed to Pasir Ris. All the way there, its like alone…so lonely. But reading that Kuku Tong’s messages really making me LMAO! HAHA! He Bi Ne??? Cek! HAHA! Met up with our Clarisse, our future Mrs Tan ;P LOL!, went finding the place. Ting Ting!, there are so many playgrounds! How are we supposed to find the chalet of yours!? HAHA! In the end, still, we were attracted to the “Beauty of the Year” in white waving at us! =)) Seriously, Ting Ting is so pretty la! Her parents also warmly welcomed us, of course, 开心就好!Her mum is very humourous and of course, happy! Really felt so happy for Ting on that day because the day that she has been looking forward to was actually happening and its was a success! One point to note, SO MANY PEOPLE! Lols!
And heres the first Picture with the Birthday Girl! =)
So YJR was the first few to reach, and we had our meals earlier…while waiting for others, we had our cam-whoring session once again!
Ting Ting’s 21st Birthday Cake! So SEXY! HAHAHA! Seriously loving this! This is actually Ting’s Dreamed Figure! HAHA! And now, 21st Birthday, everything comes true. But what was funny was the fact that, everyone ate the part below the two mountains. And left with the two mountains before we left. HAHAHA! So was like telling Ting Ting, should we share??? HAHA! Nah, actually is for Ting Ting, after eating, she will get what she wants! ;P What Fenglin said: “I Cant see my leg!!!”. LOL!
And so, we had a group photo! Actually everyone had, so I will just post YJR Group photo here!
Hope that Ting Ting had enjoyed her 21st Party! HAPPY 21st TING! YJR will always be with you, no matter what! It has been 4 years plus of friendship with them, and will continue to last long! Its seriously funny that whole day as I was like laughing so loud. And my Lam Sek Eh Jiao video, luckily have not been played! If not I have to find a place to hide! Hope that Ting managed to view that too. =) Cos we are LSEJ buddy! HAHAHA! Around 11 pm, we left and Mr Nigel came to fetch her Mrs Tan, so was like hopped onto the car for a free ride :x. LOL! Thanks Nigel! =)
Once again,
HAPPY 21st BIRTHDAY TING TING!
Wishing you all the very best in your future endeavors. You are definitely the best. Strong as you are!
Jia you le TING! Lam Sek Eh Jiao, 开心就好!
And thanks so much for the party! =)
What I see, is just far beyond your imagination. Sometimes, its just not the way we wanted. Ultimately, it will end up with something not you wanted to. Feeling helplessly-hopeless, how I wish I can control and alter the way, which will not be as bad.
We should not ever react towards our own ignorant. Being ignorant would not change the fact that you do not know. I just wanted to ask, and wanted to question and wanted to voice out the unbalanceness on what I see.
I just wish not to know anything, probably couldnt feel or see, and just let it be nothing. Sad to say, I just couldnt. I see, I feel and I know. Blog, certainly is the best place for me to voice out, for me to vent on, simply because I got no one to tell at all. This is very wrong.
Run, hide and just walk through.
Can I?
As how Felix described it, “Two Wheels and Sweet Voices”, I would add “…and a happening night!”. Its one of the most happening day I ever had. LOL! Very fun of course, and we are seriously in hard core madness condition. The day started like that…, 05 September 2009.
We met for lunch at around 12.45 pm, but we were “somehow” late, in Pasta Mania Causeway Point. As per normal, Ms Estee Lew was the last to reach, simply because she needs to powder her whole body. :P. Was a great warm up for us! So after swallowing our pastas, we bus-ed down to the East Coast Park and reach for the SUN! Managed to reach there at around 3 plus. Although it is quite late, but we had two good hours on the bike and enjoyment with the wind and the sun! Of course, Camera comes into action! Thanks Felix for bringing his “small” Nikon D90! Woohoo! Loving it! Especially the jumping shots that we had taken, simply classic!
The whole jumping shooting process was a great one, with other people stunned looking at us, wondering what we were actually doing. Although initially we were kinda “shy”, but we had enjoyed it so much! Weehee! BUT one pity point to note, Desiree wasnt with us when we took the jump shots, if not she will definitely be the great jumper! Am I right des? HAHA!

So we queued for the bus! Luckily it didnt took us much time! And our Camera Whoring Nerves started to work!!!!

On our way there! And this is our first group photo!!!! Got so much to talk about on our way!

SO, we alighted somewhere around Katong area. Then we walked to ECP! On the way, Benjamin bought us Curry Puffs! Thanks so much Ben! HAHA! And isnt Lily cute with this sailor hat? =))

So, the cam freaked Estee at last, willing to take a photo with me!!! MUAHAHA!

And heres the singlet boy, Benjamin!!!

Classic one! I love this, like, you know, when you see this after 10 years, lots of memories!

Our biking experience started! The ladies went to peeeee, and we are on our engine! LOL!

LETS GO!!!!!

These poses doesnt come without a source. Its Estee’s 招牌动作! Lets exercise ***! LOL!

Our second group photo!

So now its time to jump and fly!

I seriously love this to the core!!!

Our K TIME! @ Teo Heng KTV! Felix refer this to Lap Chap KTV! LOL!

Isnt Desiree cute??? Dint manage to take a nice photo with des! Next time k??? =)

We definitely had lotsa fun!
And so the story should, supposingly stop here! Last minute, out of sudden, we decided to go for nights out too! WOOHOO! It was around 9 plus! And, we asked: “Should we go club?” Oh gosh, should we?!?! and someone still asked, “Oh my god, don play with me, I wanted and its like …..” Without much hesistation, zoom off by the cab, back home to change into our nights outfit! LOL! SO HAPPENING, seriously. This is definitely not my style at all. I think I wasnt in my right mind. HAHAHA! So, after cabbing back, changed, zoomed off to Woodlands with Felix aka. Gabe. Met up with our dearie Gillian, with her cute jersey and specs, totally classic! I got a picture of her, but I cant upload here. LOL! Down to Clark Quay, went to REBEL! Cos its time to “REBEL”!!!

So we went to Clinic to have a drink too!!!

Seriously, that night was great! BUT, was too tired and drained. Dint have much energy to dance at all and my legs are freaking pain after cycling due to muscleache. MUAHAHAHA! I will be back next time! HEHE! Went to McD, had supper and I begged them to let me go home! HAHAHA! Shagged! And so, reached home at around 5 am. =)
By the way, checked up my eCR! Got the timetable but NO MORNING CLASSES!!! I want morning classes! But only 3 days a week! So, I think its still alright. Probably will be in school to study everyday, repeating the process that we had last year!!! So do enjoy the remaining hols we having! School gonna have its “Grand Opening” (means start of school) on 22nd September!!! Gonna be a FUN and HAPPENING last year (hopefully) of University Life! Although it will be a tough year, but with determination and perseverance, I think it will be enjoyable no matter what!
So, Ting’s Birthday is coming! On 18 September evening! WOOHOO! First 21st Birthday of friend that I will be joining. OMG, am I that BUSY? LOL!. Okay, so that will be it. Will be back with more stories. I really hope that everyday will be so happening, but still we have to work hard!!! =)) Good week ahead for all!
02 September 2009, a day which I seriously need to pen down for my blog entry. Many things had made my day! Seriously, I need to thank alot of people! After the many happenings, I still feeling so unreal, as if I am still dreaming. But seriously, dreams do come true, as long as you believe! BUT BUT BUT!, I still wanna pinch myself, whether its real…, its “quite” real. HAHA!
First and foremost, UOL results! I had wrote it in my previous entry, so I would not repeat again. But, I am satisfied with it.
Secondly, I was so shocked to know that one of the online winners was me. Seriously, its a surprise. Had a lot of fun during the on ground event itself. Took a couple of pictures. And one personal photo to keep! Audrey and Jet were both there too to participate! May and Superman both came down and support! Thank you so much people! Met the event organisers, cool and hip, hahaha! The way they planned for the event, its a great success! Thank you Casting Call 2010 for giving me the opportunity. And most importantly, we are able to experience something beyond ourselves. All the best to all participants! And once again, many thanks!

Thirdly, after interview, after the selection process, and after being earmarked for it, and lastly, for results and approval, I have eventually achieve the SIM GE Scholarship! I really do not know how happy thats gonna be, because its simply another achievement which I initially presumed to be only a dream. But as I mentioned, dreams do come true, and yeap, got it at last! Seriously, I have to thank one particular person, and she is Ploy. I remembered very clearly, it was the last day of the application before the deadline. I accompanied Ploy to the SCS center to submit her application for the scholarship. Initially, I never even think of applying simply because I never think that I can get it anyway. However, Ploy did explained to me etc on the requirements to apply for it. After much consideration, I quickly made my way down to the library and printed out the application forms and get it all filled up in a night! And the second day, submitted for it. Before the start of UOL Exams, got a call from SIM saying that I had been selected for an interview with the BOD for the scholarship. I was so shocked! And everything went well, that I got the approval from the school! Seriously, all in all, I need to thank Ploy for leading me into this golden opportunity! I also want to thank SIM for giving me this honour, to be a SIM GE Scholar. It is a way that the school recognise my potential, and trusted my ability. Thank you so much SIM. Of course, it will not be easy to be one. Gonna work doubly hard and aiming for a first class honours. Tough, but I should be tougher! And current students, seriously, do check up the portal for scholarship application period! Do try out and don self censor. If I self censor, I would have missed this opportunity. Once again, Ploy, thanks so much! You rocks!

Lastly, and being the most important thing is to see my friends being positive after the release of results. Over the week, everyone was like in a RESULTS SPREE! Some did better than expected, some got satisfying results, and some did not preformed well. However, no matter what were the outcomes, I can see them fighting very hard, trying their best to make the best decision on the academic, and really stand up and face it boldly. Everyone wants to graduate with that graduation robe and hat. Who do not want to do well? Who wanted to fail so much? Everyone wanted the best out of them, but sometimes, its a matter of lack of luck and wrong method which hinder ones goals to be realised. I am seriously glad that they are doing well, and being positive, smiling and embrace the new coming term. No matter how many years left, no matter how many subjects remaining, they all did well! Jia you people, do not collapse because of this. Instead, we should stand up and move faster! We walk, ran, fell. What is more importantly is to how fast can one stand up after the fall. And when we are up again, we learnt! That is life that we should all experience, if not how will we grow?? Lets be united as one, work harder and I believe hard work pays! =)

Yes. It is a day that worth mentioning and remembering. I know the road ahead will be much more rocky. However, I foresee what is going to happen, and get myself all ready. One sentence, “every single event that we met, no matter what is the outcome, I have no regret, simply because I have give in my best, real best!”. That is how I make my mark!
It was a tough week I supposed. For everyone, who had went through the UOL Examination during May and June 2009, today is the sentence day! For this year alone, special indeed. Because we have to check our results through the UOL Portal. 2.30 am Singapore Time, 1st of September, I was sleeping soundly awaiting for the brand new month to arrive. Suddenly, the phone vibrated at my side table. Woke up in a half-blurred mode, looked at the phone, “Alex Xiao”. And I somehow know its the results. “ITS OUT”…., LOL, I remembered this so clearly, because by then, I was fully awake! Damn it. Quickly went to my PC, checked up at UOL’s, both Ploy and YuBin talked to me thru MSN! Moments of silence, and the results just came into reality!
Alright. Managed to pass all! Thank god! Overall, I would say its a mixed reaction from me. I will explain one by one:
Elements of Econometrics (EOE), a subject presumed to be the most difficult and most “alien”. Still, I scored the best for this subject over the four units. 72 marks. A distinction, and importantly, the only one distinction for the year. Caught me by surprise of course. Frankly speaking, I never understand the lecturer in any way. Think most revision are done by self studying and textbook consultation. So, great for this one.
Corporate Finance (CF), a killer for this year. I donno how many would agree with me. Certainly, more than half of you will agree. I know. Because its just a killer. Not because we did not study much, neither are we lazy, but its the problem that it is difficult to understand! I think I dint have much impression on Dr Johnny Tan, our CF lecturer. But I remembered, I did alot of self studying for this subject. Expected to do well before the exam. After the exam, thought I would fail for it. But now, a 44, passed by 10 marks, glad to see that. Satisfied.
Introduction to Business and Management (IBM), a joker paper. Seriously I meant it. I remembered my mindmaps! At least it helped alot. At least, still, a 52 for it. LOL! That lectures are like no effect, all are done by self. So, 52, which I expect at least a 60, kinda disappointed.
Microeconomics (MICRO), the best lecturer. As what he said, easy to pass, which I did, difficult to score! Awarded a 51. Just like something half way hanging. Well, disappointed for this, because I still aimed for at least a 60 too. Or probably 58? But managed to pass, maybe its already a blessing. Still, in the end, I realised lectures only contributed to half of it. Many comes from own self study. Refer to subject guide from the start. Think I studied the wrong way. But too late. I can say I have 100% attendance for this subject.
OVERALL: MIXED.
Still, I have to congratulate myself, at least I managed to pass all the subjects and successfully proceed to my (probably) last year of education, my very last year of degree life. In regards to the results, both my SIM GE Scholarship and ARS Development Programme entitlement on the stake. Awaiting for their replies so as to which I am entitled to have. Worried of course, and do not know what it would turn out to be. However, no matter what is the outcomes, it is the process that we should experience. At least, I tried my best in everything. I tried to apply and achieve for it. And I did my best in all, whether they are exams, interviews or assessments, I did my best to deliver what I am capable of.
Now, I really do not know how many distinctions I have overall. Need May to help me tabulate. Still, I am confident that I will reach that First Class Honours goal, and I never doubted that. (thats the spirit man! never doubt self capability)!
On the very same note, hope that all my friends managed to do well. No matter what is the outcome, there will always be a solution when it comes to studies. So find the best solution available and work harder, and it will definitely pay off with the effort given in. Jia you, everyone! May we all reach our ultimate goals in life!
